Retreat for Healers, Helpers, Therapists, and Medical Professionals
Pura Vida EcoRetreat Center in Yelapa, Mexico
July 3-9, 2022

You’re tough.  You’ve got this.  You have done the whole thing – two years of a pandemic.  You’ve supported clients and patients, kept yourself and your family alive, and somehow managed to avoid losing your ever-loving mind. It’s time for a vacay.  Or even better…

a Mexican retreat!

The bay in Yelapa, Mexico

Pura Vida EcoRetreat Center is located in the unique coastal town of Yelapa, Mexico, where the friendly locals move around on foot, and with the help of boats and mules.  There are no roads, no cars, no high-rise hotels, no banks, hospitals, or chains of any kind.  Visiting this little village is like stepping back in time, in all the right ways.

Where will you sleep?

When you walk into your own open-air palapa, the first thing you’ll notice is the view.  Panoramic ocean views from every inch of the room – the bed, the shower, you name it – it has a view.  You’ll notice a mosquito net over your bed, a simple seating area, and most likely, a hammock with your name on it.  Each palapa has its own private bathroom with hot, running water, and of course, THE VIEW - pictured here.

While there is no air conditioning in the private palapas, the temperatures are usually mild enough to sleep comfortably, given the ocean breeze.  Fans are available for your comfort as well.  During the heat of the day, we will have access to an air-conditioned room, as well as the pool and the sea.  If you like "glamping," you'll be very happy here.

What will you eat?

Each vegetarian meal is prepared and served by professionally trained chefs, using local, organic ingredients.  Healthy never tasted so good!

*Juice or smoothie fasts are also available

  with advanced notice.

Meals are served in the open dining area, with 180-degree ocean views, pictured below.

"Lindsay facilitated a beautiful retreat, offering layer after layer of growth and connection.  The retreat was paced thoughtfully, in a way that built on itself but left plenty of space for individual movement.  The setting was rich with raw beauty, folded into nature, and steeped in healing energy.  I am deeply grateful for the experience."

What will you do?

Each day will include group activities that are designed to promote reflection, relaxation, and restoration of your body, mind, and spirit.

A highlight of the last retreat was a Temazcal Ceremony (Indiginous sweat lodge) led by a local shaman.  The stone lodge is pictured here.

Each retreat participant will also receive one 75-minute holistic bodywork session offered by Hazel House's own Lisa Kammerud, LMT.
